Hotel Camoruco is a hotel based on a family tradition. Founded by Juan Miranda and his wife Rosa Vargas, it opened its doors to the public with 6 rooms in 1974, being practically the first hotel in the municipality of Yopal.
Hotel Camoruco
Initially focused on hosting travellers who were passing by on their way from the centre of the country to the inland estates and plains, the Camoruco Hotel has since grown in response to the economic and touristic development of Yopal and now contains 35 high-standard rooms, all the while preserving its original architectural design, with exposed brick and a central courtyard, with native vegetation and carefully maintained gardens that generate a microclimate of natural freshness.
In 2004, Hotel Camoruco began a period of innovation and change with the construction of new service areas, including a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, gym and bar. In 2011, the hotel celebrates the opening of its restaurant area.
The hotel is currently deepening its commitment to environmental sustainability, both in the saving and efficient use of resources and in the use of alternative energies, as well as in the classification and reuse of solid waste.
Its central location (one block from Santander Central Park) and excellent services have made Hotel Camoruco a benchmark in the region since its creation.
